RvETito Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 It no longer seems possible to assign anything to the X52 throttle mouse in 1.1.1.1. From the very beginning I ever touched Black Shark still in early beta stage I was using the scroll up-down for targeting box size increase/decrease which was recognized as button 33 and 34. Had no problems doing so in BS2 1.1.1.0 but with the new patch this isn't working anymore. None of the mouse functions are recognized by the sim. Some workaround except SST profile? OGREMAN Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Same problem but I use a different funcction Dito with Titos malfunction, except that on my keybinds I have the scroll function for external camera movements that are now not available. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 Seems like the problems lies outside any ED product. I recently updated my Saitek drivers and SST software and the mouse has totally different appearance on the control panel. I just found out that it no longer works neither in BS1 and FC2. JHzlwd Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Not sure if this is totally relevant to the problem but my experience is that one needs to be very careful with Saitek software. The following may be helpful to someone... After installing BS 2 I went to the Saitek site and downloaded their latest/greatest drivers and profiling s/w for X52 pro. The drivers put my system (see below) into an unusable state. Luckily I have lots of restore points so could recover. I tried many things but always the same result. Finally went back yet again to a restore before any saitek drivers installed, plugged in the X52 Pro and just waited for Windows to install drivers. I have no idea which/what these are but they worked. The Saitek application software was fine and I have no problems with the unit now. Botton line(s): - Always create a restore point manually before installing any new drivers. Windows should do this automatically but you never know. - Try the default drivers Windows finds if new ones are flaky. - When confident everything working, create another restore point.
