Mission Editor Unknown Option

Hey guys

 

1. I'm puzzled by this "VISIBLE" checkbox and I couldn't fine an explanation on the GUI manual, can someone explain its purpose to me?

 

2. Does the skill level of the JTAC have any effect on his performance as JTAC role?

1. I'm pretty sure that it's got something to do with whether the FAC actually needs to directly see the target in order to forward it, or if he can do it anyway. However, I don't know if checked is on or off or what the detailed conditions is.

 

2. I don't know, but would like to know more about this myself, so "bump".

I couldn't find any explanation in the GUI Manual and I really need this info?

When the visible box is ticked it means the FAC has to be able to directly see the target. If it's not checked he doesn't have to.

GUI Manual - p.147 Airborn FAC:"The visibility option allows the unit to know the location of a target position at the start of the mission."

 

p.173 ff Tasks -> FAC - Assign vs. Enroute Tasks ->FAC or FAC - Engage Group
