lazduc
Could someone explain the difference between stand alone and upgrade versions. I purchase my program, 1.1.1.0, on line. I dont know what it is. So what version do I upgrade, or patch, or install, or uninstall and reinstall, or............whatever. I thought I would patch or upgrade to 1.1.1.1. Do I patch or do I download the full version of 1.1.1.1 and reload it onto another directory and save 1.1.1.0 or will this create a mess as I dont know if both versions will tend to write to some saved area and set up a conflict. EtherealN
There is no special "stand alone", both are the same thing - the full DCS BS2 product. The only difference is that the "Upgrade" version checks whether you have BS1 installed. Thus, if you have BS1, you can get the BS2 "upgrade" in order to shave off half the price. If you do not have BS1, then you need the normal 40 dollar version. Regarding patches, just patch whichever version it is you own - if you purchased upgrade, use the patcher made for upgrade version. If you did not get the upgrade version, use the one that is not upgrade. zerodime
Is there another tip to install BS2-upgrade onto Steam:BS1? Win7:32Bit it doesn't find the installation. I did not try to deinstall BS1 and reinstall it again, yet.
Jona33
Uninstall BS1 and then reinstall with no patches. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
EtherealN
Jona33, the installer does no longer require BS1 version 1.0.0. Any BS1 version is fine. Zerodime, ensure BS1 is activated through running the simulation once. Do also note that 64-bit is recommended, if you have issues running the simulation, see the 32-bit links in my signature. Sorry, forgot about updated installer. Interestingly though running the sim might not be necessary as I uninstalled BS2 and then needed to reinstall BS1 to reinstall BS2. My BS1 no longer works so I tried the BS2 installer anyway and it did work. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

I had to buy the full thing, despite the fact that I had BS1 steam version. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. EtherealN
noc_orthodontist, the upgrade should work with Steam version as well. The first installer did not detect Steam versions, new installer should. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1321483&postcount=3 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
