I have the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. I need to get the joystick configured correctly as there is quite a bit of drift. The plane constanly wants to bank.

Where can I setup dead (null) zones and what are the best / most realistic settings for this?

Are there specific parameters to use for the trim hat or are those preset?

Is there a way to center the trim or visually see where the trim setting is set to?

Thanks

Hmmm I know there is a button in front of your throttle to reset trim to 'take off'. You hold the button down until the light comes on. I've flown with that joystick for months and never needed to press it in flight though.

Have you check your axis on the controls menu? It may be that something has a duplicated input on an axis.

John,

The A10 requires constant trim. As airspeed increases\decreases, weapons are released or fuel is used, you will have to constantly trim the aircraft. Just the nature of the beast I'm afraid.

I suspect that you are merely experiencing the effect of the plane having an unbalanced weapon loadout, which it almost always does.

Deadzones and curves are set in controls where you assign the axis'. There is a button at the bottom 'Axis Tune' which will bring up the curve screen for the selected axis/control. Those setting are rather individual preference things.

When you start trim is at zero. The aircraft is not in balance so it 'leans' to one side in flight until you trim it into balance. Then when you release a weapon, it is out of balance again.
