hey i dont know why but when i go to MP norting shows up..it seems normal but no server list or names come up ! i hac check me settings and opstions evry thing seems normal :cry: what can i do i am desperat ..i just want to fly whit you guys :cry: help me plz..help me:cry:

Most squads have decicated servers not open for the public. So proably not many open servers anyways. Try to find a squad to fly with

NVM i got a nice list of about 30-40 servers .... opened any ports in your firewall ?

Are you using the latest patch?

The most likely reason for not seeing any servers is your version of dcs is not 1.1.1.1. and therefore you are not seeing any of the servers that are being hosted.

 

if you purchased your copy of dcs from steam then more then like it is not completely patched to 1.1.1.1.

 

there is a workaround in the forums for this issue.

Well workaround .. just copy the cd-key steam offers you , download the game from main site and paste in the cd-key Not really a workaround. And from what I understand DCS is not really good connected to steam. Seeing as there is no BS 2 on steam only BS 1 (which is on sale even too :-(

Don't use Steam for A-10C. Just copy down the CD key for it and use that to activate your full 1.1.1.1 download directly from ED's website.

Steam will get updated. I do not know when (or indeed if it is already updated, I don't have a Steam version running so can't check on my own). The issue with Steam that makes patches get released slower is that things have to go through Valve for that. On the DCS site ED can release things whenever it pleases since, well, it's ED's site.

 

I'd say either wait for it to update, or use your Steam copy's serial number with a download from digitalcombatsimulator.com.

my steam version of A10 is still at 1.1.0.9 so i think i will try the workaround method, i guess i need to back control configs and uninstall from steam directory, then reinstall the ED download, do i need to do any deactivating or anything?

Just wanted to add these guys have been a great help getting started online, very friendly and willing to help u learn. Have had a lot of fun flyin with them.

No deactivation should be necessary since this is just a reinstall.

 

Also, I would probably suggest you do not keep configurations. But just in case, here's my recommended procedure:

 

1) Install full install from the dcs site.

2) Try it out. Hopefully your control configurations should be intact in the SavedGames folder of windows. (On 7 it is not located in the Steam folder.)

3) If you run into troubles, delete or rename this folder:

C:\Users\XXXXX\SavedGames\DCS Warthog

Then start again, the game will then create a new default for this.

 

No need to uninstall the steam version beforehand, you can keep it on hand until the downloaded version is complete and running as intended.

Well euh .. steam is not that slow with patching as you think. Another sim maker released itś patch and the second it hits steam (within hours) and i was updating. This was 20 december btw so not really the season where a lot of workers are working anymore.

well i did buy it over steam........ but if they wil update it it is fine whit me ;) i just wanted to know what the hell was wrong :D
