Which patches do i need?

Hello,

 

I got the A-10 for christmas and i am not sure what patches i need, i downloaded the latest patch and when i tried to install it, it told me that i needed an eairlier patch. What patches do i need to make it up to date?

Then use the cd-key from your dvd to activate :)

From your location I think the version on your DVD is version 1.1.0.7. (Memory serving...) In this case you either need each of the options following that (1.1.0.8, 1.1.0.9, 1.1.1.0, 1.1.1.1), or alternatively just download the full 1.1.1.1 installer and use the serial number you got with your DVD box on that.

 

To double-check which versions you have, start single-player, enter the mission editor, then go to "misc > credits" in the menu. You can also use windows commands directly on the files in the install directory (..\bin\DCS.exe , rightclick > properties > Details > File Version).

 

From version 1.1.0.9 the full 4-digit version number is displayed on the splash screen when loading. Previously it was only the first three numbers, a minor oversight caused by a change in numbering conventions.

Your best bet is to download the 1.1.1.1 full version then install that if you go the patch route you will need to download prob 2/3 patches to get up to latest..

if im wrong im sure someone will say soon....

I have downloaded and installed the game. I loaded up the main menu at the moment it has not asked me for a serial number. Before i downloaded the game, i did install the game from the boxset as i did not know i could get the game and all the patches in one.

 

Where do i put the serial number in?
