Shootist Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 As I sit here on the west coast of Canada, I constantly have a hard time finding, firstly, and unlocked serve and, secondly, one with a ping under 100. I've even tried joining one or two leaving my email but have gotten no response. Is there no one on the west coast that plays this game? Yes, I AM frustrated! kylania Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 From there east cost I see 26 servers up. 10 are open (no password) and only 6 are under 100 ping. This is actually a good thing, since before the holiday sales there would usually be maybe 7 servers only 2 of which were open (basically stallturn and that china one). Shootist Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 I'm in a basement with the wireless router diagionally half a house away. Being a renter, I can't do anything about it. I have two locked servers under 100 and dozens, mostly locked, averaging 150 to 330. dooom Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 i fly out of saskatoon shootist... happy to wing with you - I'd ask why you are worried about ping with a10C? principally - most of the online games involve static targets and unlike a dogfight sim you do not have to worry about net lag to get a gun shot off - when firing mavericks or CBUs at static targets you really will not notice any net lag issue with pings as high as 250. I regularily fly on servers over 100 and as high as 250 and have yet to notice any change in immersion. Frostie Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Ping limit of about 400m/s is the general consensus for all forms of combat in DCS/FC world. It's a small community and minor lag is not really an issue. "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'.
