DIY iPad knee-board case

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I was looking for a case to use my iPad as a knee-board. I've seen quite a few, very nice, but way to expensive.

I stumbled on this post where the writer explains how to make one yourself.

Just made one today and it works really well.

this is mine:

I used some foam to make the screen somewhat better visible and accessible.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Cost of an Ipad: Starting at US$400

Cost if an Ipad knee-board holder: Starting at US$28 at Sporty's, probably below US$20 if you subtract the DIY materials for the homebuilt.

Hmm...

Hmmm, apparently my google skills are not what they used to be. :)

Cost of satisfaction in crafting something of one's own: priceless :
