Praetorx Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I follow the startup procedure in the ingame tutorial video but EAC never stays on so I can't use the auto pilot. Is there something that isn't in the video that I need to do?
EternaLi Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 When you start up your CDU [Right Panel], let it warm up before you press NAV. That will enable you to arm the EAC. And also use the autopilot. It will take a minute or two before its warm and cozy. You know it's ready when you can read out 4.(xxxxxx) on the CDU. ¤ i5 ¤ 6970 ¤ Ramdisk 10/16GB ¤ A-10 pro crash pilot *
sobek Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Also, you need to switch to EGI on the NMS Panel (3rd button from the left, the square buttons right in front of the stick) once alignment is complete and you have switched to nav. In earlier versions, the navigation mode defaultet to EGI, but now it defaults to HARS if the EGI is not aligned (which is the way it works IRL). Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Frostie Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Make this check: All 4 SAS switches on EGI on On the CDU 'T=4.0 0.8' (then press Nav on CDU) (0.8 is how accurate your nav system is, this figure starts high and dwindles down to 0.8 as it warms up) "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'.
