ergn Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Another alternative for TrackIR? Gaze Tracker http://www.gazegroup.org/downloads/23-gazetracker Here is a video TAD for DCS F15C DCS DOTA
Mustur Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) It's a very interesting concept, although more useful for moving the cursor then actual view control. How do you "left click"? By blinking only the left eye maybe? :P Edited January 26, 2012 by Mustur [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nate--IRL-- Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I could just imagine blinking left and right, as well as trying to use TrackIR in DCS - you'd look like you were having a seizure :) Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Gadroc Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Actually I think a combination of the two would be interesting. TrackIr tells me head position and frustum, but gaze tracking sets the focus point. Might help ALOT with the TrackIR hold still for mouse click problem. I'd imagine your eye stays focused pretty well on the same spot even though it's pretty hard to hold your head that still.
