Uhm..ahh its a old screenshoot that I've found right now...lomac..but I've never seen a Ground Crew inside the Game... wuz wrong me or somebody... :icon_jook

It's a fake. They're Stinger/Igla units strategically positioned around a static object.

 

Clever, but it doesn't get us anywhere :p

 

 

Groundcrew would be nice, but in the absolute scheme of things I think they count as icing on the cake. There's much more to work on before spending time on such things.

Animating tiny little figures to service every jet is going to be a pain in the proverbials to do properly . . . . . I'd rather see time that would be spent there doing something more productive to gameplay.

 

 

Now then, a sim which is planning to include limited groundcrew is Jet Thunder - suggest you head over to the Thunder Works website and check out what they're planning to do.

 

The basic idea is a stationary 3D model of a crewman with moving arms to wave Harriers off British carriers. That only came about because they have a surfeit of 3D modelling experience right now, and the use (if any) will be very limited.
