It needs to be more thoroughly tested... would you collecting feedback from your group in case I need to alter or expand the mission? This is just like the non-coop Hawg mission, with the addition of two farps and 2 client Blacksharks at each farp. If you don't have people to fly the Blacksharks, it should play out exactly like the non-coop version, with AI Blacksharks doing SEAD. Once you have a client Blackshark spawn, all AI Blacksharks will RTB. There's also the ability to F10 and request SEAD RTB, then you can take the AA assets out with Hawgs if you want. When you play SP, I would like to be able to rearm and refuel. Or is this implemented and I have only missed it?
StrongHarm Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 Kimkiller - sorry for the delayed response.. work has been intense. I flew the mission and confirmed refuel/rearm/repair. Do you have the latest version? It's attached in the OP and named v1-2. I put it up on the 3rd. The first version that I launched had a few bugs, no refuel/rearm/repair was one of them. I'm not sure why it wasn't working, as Vaziani is definitely a military base. I added some friendlies there and haven't seen a problem since. If you're trying to RRR somewhere besides Vaziani, be sure to open F10, click on the airport, and make sure it says Military instead of Civilian. Tell me how it goes. I got 38 vehicles on my first weapons load.. it was a blast! I like taking out any vehicles that bite back.. then gun the trucks and arty... fun fun! Attacking tank column as advised by JTAC (FRQ 31.00) consisting of 3 modern-looking tanks (T-72 I believe) with MAV-D results in CTD upon projected missile impact. Got consistent CTD 3 times out of 3. It's also worth mentioning that every time out of those 3 attempts Apaches were unable to eliminate all SAM sites. No crash on mav impact on T72s (tried two different sets) and Apaches take the out all AA assets about 8 of 10 times. Are you using the newest mission marked v1.2? Did you upgrade to 1.1.1.1, or did you run the full install. I'll be interested to find out what's going on. I wonder what is going on as well, since nothing really suggests such behavior. I'll try to run a few more tests tonight. Since it was a work night for most, we did not get to finish but flew for about an hour and a half with no issues. Hopefully, we will get a chance to run it from start to finish this weekend. jeffyd123 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 hey stronggy, I increased my RAM to 8 gig and installed a 560Ti... the mission runs much better but still has a slight lagginess to it (about 15fps after all of the vehicles are in theater and a lot of them on fire). I did have one crash after a gun run on BMPs but thats it out of 7 times in the mission. i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor

july865 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 we have the new version running on the server. i just logged in to check the briefing and nothing more. i had noticed that the mission starts even when someone is in the spectator lounge. as a mission running on a server and having the game start is rather inconvenient. can you adjust the triggers to accommodate server usage? I would say that Im at the low end of systems out there so for the other pilots its not worth eliminating it to let my %$&$@# box run it. Maybe substitute the burning/exploding weapons depots for something else? I also notice the lag/FPS drop happens when Im "looking " at the part of the AO that has the friendlies on it (noticeable while Im starting up at the start of the mission)... maybe make them static? I see fires/smoke when im flying but Im usually only interested in them for tracking what my turn-around is to re-engage targets. as far as a burning city, that would be very cool if I ever got around to looking at it....or noticed it. I gotta upgrade to an i7 i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor

The coop version has two FARPs and different triggers. After it's properly tested, I'll post it in a seperate thread. Would you mind giving me some feedback to speed the process? july865 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 ty strongharm for the coop version. are the migs supposed to be obliterated when you first join? the f15's and the patriot batteries wipe them out. the altitude of the migs seem pretty low. 2.5hrs into it and seems pretty stable so far. Let's see what I get in this one... :D Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Concerning the migs; I set out to create an atmosphere of impending large scale battle. The migs should spawn when you're close to waypoint 2, right over Tbilisi. The migs spawn and a dogfight occurs within view. Moments later MLRSs start firing on the city under you and a portion of it is in flames. After the AA is cleared, you proceed on, nape of earth, to waypoint four to start ops in the ao. Migspawn and MLRS fire occurs when you break through a trigger point near Tbilisi. july865 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 thank for the clarification on the migs. we had played this extensively yesterday. approx 3.5 hrs. no fps issues. there are however no rearming abilities at either farps for the BS's or ground power available. i would like to add a request. can we get more air threat targets for the BS's to carry out. maybe a bit more smarter? not sure if they are set as expert. they dont seem to engage as expected. also, make it a bit more challenging for the hog pilots to carry out their tasks by relying upon the BS's to eliminate the air threats. It took a large amount of triggers to do it right, surprisingly. Doing too much damage too quickly to the Russians cause them to send in CAP Command reports the RU launch Friendly fighters are scrambled to meet the threat Command then reports when RU CAP is in your threat range (so you can continue with operations until then) If you terrain mask properly you can avoid the CAP If RU CAP kills US Intercept, reinforcment fighters are sent, you must stay out of their radar until then This logic is available in Battle For Patara Valley, which should be forthcoming in the next week or so.
