What plane is this?

My friend went to New York and took a pic of this plane. What is it?

I believe it's the US Navy's A-4 Skyhawk.

Nope, as you can see, skyhawk has round intakes.

I never knew anything about the intrepid being used as a floating museum.

 

My wife and I went to NY in December 2004, and while we were there we visited the Intrepid.... damn it was cold. Well worth the visit if you are ever nearby.
