VVanks Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 My friend went to New York and took a pic of this plane. What is it? Homepage: http://www.worldwynd.net Coming Soon: http://www.simplywyn.com

britgliderpilot Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Looks like it. Check out this page for a full list of the aircraft on the Intrepid. http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/intrepidmuseum/aircraft/ Apparently, it shares a pier with not only Concorde, but a submarine named "Growler". Hmmn . . . . . :p http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

zorlac Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I never knew anything about the intrepid being used as a floating museum. My wife and I went to NY in December 2004, and while we were there we visited the Intrepid.... damn it was cold. Well worth the visit if you are ever nearby.
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Did the Intrepid tour my 1st trip to the US in 1987. Great museum! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
