-Ice Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I am looking for a mission with which I can do FPS tests for various video card settings and in-game video settings. I tried to get StrongHarm's FPShell.miz files but it won't load in the game (fair 'nuff, it was an old mission). Does anyone have one I could try? Thanks! - Ice
kylania Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Separatist Aggression is always a problem for me what with all the units and the clouds. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
StrongHarm Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) FPS Hell is fixed.. and with a bigger pitchfork :devil_2: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1093897 Edited February 8, 2012 by StrongHarm It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
Mustang Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I've found this MP mission by Deephouse can really test your FPS too http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=82623 when you spawn on the airbase there are a crapload of units scattered around (looks very pretty mind you :D)
Ratfink Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 not sure why, but I've always used Sitting Ducks as my benchmark mission CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW Mid Tower | AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D | G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo EXPO RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 PC5-48000C30 6000MHz | ASUS ROG X870E-E GAMING WIFI | Gigabyte RTX5080 Gaming OC 16GB | 4TB Lexar NM790 M.2 PCIe 4.0 | Seasonic Prime TX-1000 1000W 80 Plus Titanium Modular Power Supply | Lian Li Galahad II Trinity AIO 360mm | Meta Quest Pro | TM HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | Win 11 Home | Asus PG348Q 34" 3440x1440 Monitor | Bose Companion 3 2.1 Sound
Mustang Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 not sure why, but I've always used Sitting Ducks as my benchmark mission That mission is good for benchmarking the capabilities of your videocard with all those dense forests and towns nearby the targets :)
StrongHarm Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 The above mission is to tax your system.. When I'm testing new builds I use my FPS Reference Mission. You're parked on a runway near a city, with 12 Blacksharks flying slowly toward you in formation. It gives a nice consistent FPS reading when the Sharks are at distance, then another when they get closer... and it looks sweet too.. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=66755 It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
