awdrgyjo Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 When I get a call from JTAC saying, BRA 125 at 80, is this offset taken from the bullseye or a different position, what would be helpfull if someone could tell me the page in the mauual, it does not seem to be under JTAC, thanks in advance.
Eddie Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 It's actually BRAA and it's an AWACS call not JTAC. BRAA is Bearing, Range, Altitude, Aspect and refers to the location of a hostile, bandit, bogey aircraft in relation to you. So "Bandit BRAA 320 for 35, 18 thousand, hot" would mean there is a suspect enemy aircraft bearing 320, 35 miles away and 18 thousand feet and he's flying towards you.
