iexus Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Good evening, Me and my friends recently all started playing Black Shark 1. We were very keen to try making our missions and have a bit of coop fun. However when one of us hosts that person will randomly (seriously happens at a random moment we cannot replicate it easily) freeze and be unable to do anything. Others who are connecting as clients however can keep playing fine. Randomly the game will then come back and continue on as normal. I have noticed that when this happens if I view the process in the task manager DCS Black shark is continually claiming memory at around 100 mb / second getting to 2 Gig and then resetting back to around 500 mb. This continues with the game being non-responsive for the host until it randomly un-freezes or is closed. Any one else have this issue or anything similar? Any possibly ideas or thoughts on what could be causing it?
Yurgon Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 In fact I had a similar problem the other day. I was hosting for a buddy and we were in our second mission when my game froze for a couple seconds. I thought my game had crashed, but my buddy continued fine and watched my heli crash into a mountain. Right after that, everything worked fine again on my end as well. I don't recall doing anything out of the ordinary prior to the freeze. It lasted possibly 5 to 10 seconds. In terms of software, here's my setup: BS2 1.1.1.1 Win 7 64Bit TrackIR 5 (with TrackIR 4 hardware) Input device is Thrustmaster Cougar with (game port) Simpeds. I didn't check the task manager, but I'll keep my eye open in future coop missions. Also, I didn't check if I could pause the game or change to external view during the freeze. Flying solo, I've gathered 16 hours 44 minutes with the above setup and never experienced such a problem.
