Stickers Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Hey guys, I just found out I got a scholarship through the State Department to study in Russia this summer. I am extremely excited! I am not sure what city yet, either Kazan, Ufa, or Vladimir(I feel like I am waiting to get my AFSC/Station assigned). Whatever the case, I was wondering if any of you guys have tips/suggestions on what I should do with the little free time I'll have? I will be staying with a family while I am there so custom and curtsey suggestions are welcomed. Also, anywhere I can rent a KA-50 and fly around? ;)

Namenlos Ein Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Добро пожаловать в Россию! Welcome to Russia! DO's & DONT's in Russia Don't be afraid to decline vodka. You won't offend anyone. Just have a religious or health excuse ready. If you do drink with Russians, know that the bottle is usually drunk until it is empty. Here is my small improvement of this tip: Don't be afraid to decline vodka. You won't offend anyone. Just have a religious or health excuse ready.
