I was wondering in campaign, why is'nt the helicopter in cold and dark state?

I know that in the mission editor i can change the mission startup from on runway to on ramp to accomplish this. But then i need to change the startup time as well. Isn't there a simple way to do this?

And second, as i edit the mission from start on runway to start on ramp, do you change the start up time, to compensate for the startup time?

and if you do will 10 minutes suffice?

Love the game but hate a pre warmed up state when entering the campaign.

What's the point of a full startup procedure then. If the plane is already warmed up and ready to go. I learned the startup procedure for nothing then?

And i love to fire the bird up my self :)

I use bs2... by the way

Thx

You don't need to change the startup time at all. Just switch from start from runway to start from ramp in the ME and done.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

You learned the cold start procedure so that you can play online. The campaign is more of a "Gee I haven't played this sim in months, I wonder if I can fly around and not crash" type of thing. Most missions don't even require more than an hour of flight time. They start the enemy tanks so close that they could be at your AB/FARP in less than thirty minutes. With any accurate intelligence, their artillery could ruin your flight before you even took off.

P.S. I actually don't think the campaigns are all that bad, however they do run a bit short. Also, IMHO online play is where the immersion is really at. IF TARS wasn't broken for me 85% of the time that is.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

Cold and Dark start up time decreases with practise, so it's difficult to give you a duration. Used to take 10 to 15 minutes the first times, now it's more between 3 to 5.

Hey, aren't you the guy with the Ka-50 home cockpit?

Man the startup would be awesome in that!!
