jupham Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I usually buy my games on Steam when it is available and I'm considering buying A-10C Warthog. My question is, has anybody gotten Freetrack to work with the steam version of this game?
Boomer Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 It should work, you just need to add the api files, though you can always download and install retail version from ED/TFC website and use steam cd-key. This is recommended AFAIK. Wishlist: DCS: MiG29M/CMT | DCS: MiG25/31 | DCS: MiG-23MLD | DCS: F16CJ

Do you guys know if steam downloads the 64bit version? Edit: what I meant to ask is if you buy on steam does that activation work for the 64bit version? Edited March 19, 2012 by jupham
Boomer Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I believe that there is no separate activation for 32bit/64bit installations. There is only one unified activation, therefore it shouldn't be the problem, but wait for confirmation as I'm not 100% sure. Wishlist: DCS: MiG29M/CMT | DCS: MiG25/31 | DCS: MiG-23MLD | DCS: F16CJ
PeterP Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 DCS A-10c is a native 64bit application and the 64bit executable will be installed if a 64bit OS is detected. And on a 32bit OS the 32bit executable will be installed. Don't worry!
jupham Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Thanks for all the help and advice. I don't think a game this in depth would survive without a great community around it.
