Launcher exe has stopped working

I am trying to install DCS BS ona new computer. I installed DCS BS 1 and everytime I try to launch it so I can put in my code and continue to install DCS BS 2 it say Launcher exe has stopped working. This is the details of the error:

My new com has win 7 64 bit, 6 gigs RAM, Nvidia GTX 560, AMD 3.4 Quad core processor

This happens sometimes when the install file is incomplete or a scratch on the disk doesn't allow transfer of all of a file.

 

this install attempt is by way of a disk? or a file downloaded from the net.?
