bunraku Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Hi. Just reinstalled FC2 after a long absence. I make my own profiles and am happy with them, but does anyone have any tips for deadzones and setting the curve in the game settings? Thanx.
Cali Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) I have CH and don't use dead zones or curves. The best thing I can say is test a few different settings out and see how you like it. EDIT: Look here this might help you. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=61241&highlight=deadzones+curve+settings http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=83384&highlight=deadzones+curve+settings Edited April 9, 2012 by Cali i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
Sarge55 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Like Cali said try a few different settings, it's more an individual preference and also depends on the condition of your stick as well. Is it spiking? If so then a deadzone maybe necessary. To answer your question though, I don't use any curves or deadzones in FC2 but I do have some curves in both A-10C and BS2. Teej Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I have no problem using and admitting to curves in DCS / FC even with my WH stick. The real jets have about a foot more stick length (figuratively...some have more than others though) and thus tons more throw. In the case of the F-16 you need 20+ pounds of pull to get max pitch authority. Flying with a linear curve on a stick with 2" of travel in each direction (at the top of your hand, not the top of the stick) isn't any more realistic than throwing curves on, gang. ;) "Tank! I need a program for a TM Warthog!"
