Next spring or summer perhaps, now that's an entirely different matter. EtherealN Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 If all of that is fact, it will be interesting to see what they charge for it though. The 680 is already "top-line" as far as the competition goes, and I'm not seeing all that much on the horizon to change that. Still, it might be good enough to make me get one, but I'm still fairly happy with my 560Ti. Haven't even bothered overclocking it yet. :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Daze Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 The 685 could be what was originally the 680, as the 680 was apparently originally the 670, and so on. But they realised that that way a 660Ti could have been almost as good as a 7970 which would have meant AMD wouldn't sell as much which could lead to them dropping out of the GPU market just the they did in the CPU market, which would be bad for everyone.
