J3Langford Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I attempted adding my G13 to BS2 and as I try to assign input functions 'within BS' there is no cooresponding key/buttons showing other than modifier keys. What's up? I can program profiles with the G13 software. But I don't want that. I want it to act just like a keyboard.

J3Langford Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 Yes, I have unfortunately discovered this. But is there a solution? Does anyone know why exactly? Surly there is some way to mitigate this...
cichlidfan Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) I am not sure what you are trying to do but it seems that the root of your problem is that you are using the wrong device to accomplish the task. The G13 was designed to be programmed with keystroke/mouse functions in order that a user could map any games keyboard/mouse commands into a set of keys/joystick easily manipulated by one hand. It does that reasonably well IMHO (I use one myself). I suspect that you want it to be sending out DX commands like a gamepad or joystick button. To the best of my knowlege there is no way to do that. EDIT: I seem to recall that the Razer Nostromo has that (DX) capability but I have never used one so I do not know that for a fact. Yskonyn Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Yeah with the G13 you have to first assign keyboard commands inside the sim, then in the logitech gamepanel software you can map those keystrokes to your buttons. No other way, but on the other hand, this works fine as-is. I use my G13 as an UFC in A-10C and I use it for ABRIS controls in KA-50. Like other guys wrote here- G13 is not sending any DX input- so in DCS you won't see anything showing up when pressing G-keys. To make it work assign key commands in logitech software- like for example- G1 Ctrl+C to close canopy. You don't have to set up anything in DCS, just assign DCS commands to G-keys. BaD CrC Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 The only similar type of peripherals working like you want is the Nostromo N50. From the N52 and the logitech G13 and G19, you have to use the dedicated utility. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
rebelracer88 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 The people on this forum are quick to respond and helpful. Now can you help get my P-51 off the ground without crashing.
