Bee_Sting Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) i know in the bs1 1.00 you was able to make your ai hold position at a datalink point(if you edited it in mission editor). he now just says that he has arrived at the point but doesn't hold position.why did it change in the later versions of bs?:helpsmilie: Edited April 24, 2012 by Bee_Sting 1
jacksos101 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 When you order them to hold, do they fly a pattern around the datalink point (possibly a figure 8 IIRC)? I think I saw somewhere on the forum that they won't hold at the point but will rather fly a pattern around it, in order to improve fuel time (hovering uses more power hence more fuel).
Bee_Sting Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 the AI just flies right pass the hold point and flies to nowhere!
ShuRugal Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 that's odd, i was using datalink-hold command to have my flight hide in a side valley while i ambushed some MI-28's just recently, and they orbited it fine.
Bee_Sting Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 how did you get him to do so? for me he just flies right by. does the data point needs to be right next to you or????
