Mt5_Roie Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I have a surround sound system hooked up to my computer and I also have a USB headset to communicate for Teamspeak. The headset I use is an actual civilian aviation headset which has noise cancelation on it via usb jack. What I'd like to do is have engine and environmental noises go to the surround sound. Other noises like missile tone, warning, and cockpit alerts I want to go to my headset (I'm assuming it like that in real life as well). I didn't see a way to do it in prefernces. Is there a way to do it via a lua file some where? Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
Wichid Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) Sounds like an interesting setup! I thought the master warning sounds were not through the headset, what if you're in a jumbo jet and the pilot has taken his headset off for a moment? I've only ever setup the headset for teamspeak and the game through speakers. I'd be interested if you really can do this. I thought windows only supported using one sound device or another... I've also tried to output sound to both my USB headset and speakers at the same time but couldn't figure it out. MTFDarkEagle Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Not possible as far as I know.. I have asked in the past, and it was not possible then. Though I have to say that this would be a VERY VERY nice feature! Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
