RICARDO Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 hello, i removed with modman the Mig 21 bis mod previously installed. since i have this message when i try to launch fc2. any idea to solve it would be welcome.
Kuky Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 It must be some files got removed or not poperly reerted to originals when modaman uninstalled the mod, in cases like that most of the time I would just reinstal the sim PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
RICARDO Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 done, i had to reinstall fc2 and of course reset all the profiles ect ect... a nightmare! That mod was my biggest mistake of the year...:mad::mad::mad: a good lesson: never install mods that changes too much from the original, modman is never able to remove all the scripts. anyway thank's for your help.
Vekkinho Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Always create a Copy of Lock On folder, rename default one to whatever you wish: Lock On original is my choice then rename Copy folder to Lock On and install any mod you test or wish to explore. This way you can always revert to original settings (folder)... I've got a 250mb partition on my HDD used only for Lock On, FC, FC2 and BS. just in case of FC2 there are several copies of original FC2 folder, one of them is used for testing new mods I wish to use (3D vehicle and aircraft models, Airforce packs, VNAO, VEAO, AdA etc) one of them for testing various environment mods (terrain textures, static objects, skins, airbases) and one is active where I finally implement mods I'm certain with. Installation used for MP is, of course, a separate folder with stripped scenery and optimized for high FPS. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
