Sorry for the recent plethora of questions. :) I have had LOMAC for a long time, and every now and then I pick it up to try and figure out more stuff, get a little bit farther but then get overwhelmed and put it away until I feel brave enough to pick it up again. Guess I am too used to the simpler time in my WW2 sim (IL2).

So this week I am feeling brave, and this time I have decided to go Russian or go bust. So the question I came up with last night was where is the indicator for when my ECM is on? I found the little light that comes on when I turn on that new 'Sukhogruz' electro-optical jamming system to help fend off infrared-guided missles, but I cant find any indicator or toggle switch movement to show when ECM is turned on.

Also, it is labelled "NOMEXA".

You must by the Su- 27/33 and Su-25/Su-25T load a ECM Pod an then pressing "E" and see the NOMEXA light is on.

Just that MiG-29S and F-15C has built in a ECM interfering transmitter. ;)

Ahh thanks guys. I thought the Su-25T was one of the ones that had internal ECM. You would think so with that massive hump on it. ;)

A10 - look down and right in the cockpit. Right hand side (level with the seam on your right trouser leg) is a panel (just above ILS panel. It has eight little squares. Some are lit. Yellow means ECM OFF (it actually is in standby mode) Green means ECM ON.

F-15 - look right of the TEWS display. Block of six little rectangles level with bottom of TEWS and to the right of it. If you zoom your view in far enough you can see they say ECM in orange letters when the ECM is ON.

Su-25 - (provided you have selected ECM pod as part of your loadout). Right hand side of cockpit - next to writing that looks like NOMEXA is a round green light if ECM is ON.

Mig-29 - just above and to the right of the TEWS is a block of 11 small displays. top left of these lights in green as NOMEXA when ECM is ON.

Su-27/ Su-33 (provided you have selected ECM pod as part of your loadout). Above TEWS display is a block of 13 small displays (block of 6,block of 5,block of 2). If ECM is ON, top of the block of 5 will read NOMEXA in Green.

Hmm I could not find any ECM pods for the Su-25....only some smoke generators. Is there no ECM for the Su-25?

EDIT: nevermind I found it. Turns out it is on one of the middle stations on the right wing. How does one properly counterbalance it? I tried a rocket pod (S-8 I think) but it overcompensated. Love that the Su-25T is already balanced out.

UB-32 or B-8CM rocket launchers are close. I dont know why there isnt an option to add a jammer to both wings, it is perhaps a bug.

Im fairly certain that the 25 and 25t have internal ecm, but they are not as powerful as exetrnals.

Isn't the can shaped thing under the tail ( above the 'chute) the IR jammer.

The hump ( where the second cockpit would be ) is where the extra avionics are isn't it...

Cheers.
