So whenever I click with the mouse, like to operate a switch, my view re-centers. I have recenter mapped to the cursor slew press (comes up as Joy 1.) I windows when I have the track IR window opened the same thing happens, ie when I left-click anywhere on desktop the view re-centers. What's up with that?

Thanks.

Sounds like you have the TrackIR CENTER function mapped to your left mouse button. Check what is mapped to the CENTER setting in TrackIR. Click on the box that displays what key toggles TrackIR ON-OFF and assign another key. I think F12 is the default setting.

What controller are you using?

Are you using a gaming mouse that is reported as DX controller that emulates a mouse button ?

The problem/bug/design flaw in the TrackIR software is as follows:

TrackIR is agnostic to the controller ID means: When you map button #1 of controller number #1 to TrackIR-center - all other attached controllers will also execute TrackIR-center when the button#1 is pressed, no mater which controller ID is reported. So button #1 at controller #2 is doing the same...

I have 8 controllers attached and I can only fix this by writing a autohotkey script for the TrackIR functions.

There are many threads/complains about this in the TrackIR forum - but the clever guys at Naturalpoint didn't made a afford to change this since TrackIR2. (...)

Thanks, that seems to be it. I re-mapped center to space bar and it works fine.

TIR also does not recognized the difference between right and left shift, ctl or alt. Most annoying.:noexpression:
