cichlidfan Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Mostly curious here. The DL page for DCS P-51/World lists the disk space requirement as 7GB. A clean install and Windows says the DCS World folder contains 8.60GB (9,242,027,337 bytes) which is a rather significant discrepancy. I know that the install includes P-51 but the information on the page is also for the inclusion of the P-51. True, space for most isn't a concern, though it might be to a certain extent as SSDs are not cheap. As for how much more, over 20%, which is a significant amount of error. As soon as I get a chance I have 640GB of SSDs waiting to be installed. Peyoteros Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 How would having DCS on SSD significantly improve anything? "Eagle Dynamics" - simulating human madness since 1991 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ۞ ۞
PeterP Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Loading times and small stutters are being vastly improved when DCS is at a SSD.
Soulres Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Loading times and small stutters are being vastly improved when DCS is at a SSD. i would like to know this aswell...i read about them abit, and it just seems like 3 years ago when games said to End all Processes but the games (Bf2), To me it just seems like One of the many things you can do that might slight increase gameplay, but the price of SSD, I can get more RAM,CPU,and get a SLI video card Along with All the DCS games with a harddrive of the same space size as my own HardDrive Which is Known to increase GamePlay Results
