Hey gang,

Since getting back into flight simming more serious than I have been, I thought I would go ahead and get Black Shark 2. I already own the original, and also have the printed manual they offered back then for it. I have also recently purchased A-10C as well, though I have not got to start messing with it any yet.

So anyway, I went to purchase the full version here online, of Black Shark 2. I thought I would go ahead and get the full version rather than the upgrade, first to help support the franchise, and I know I will be doing a new computer build little later on this year, and would just as soon have the full version I can install at that time, rather than installing the original and then the upgrade.

However, I am having difficulty getting my order placed. Ok so I choose the full version, and then am told I need to either sign in, or register on the site here, to proceed. I figured maybe it would probably be the same as my sign in and password here on the forums, tried that but did not work. No problem, I tried a couple of others I use regularly, still no go. No problem, it probably is a whole different registration process, so I chose to register. It would not let me, saying my email address is already assigned to a registered user here - obviously me.

So then I chose the forgot password option, and it said it had sent an email to my email address with the information I will need. Well that was over 2 hours ago, and I have still not received any email. I tried it again, and still nothing.

I am not sure what to do at this point - anyone else run into this? All I want to do is purchase the digital full version here from the DCS site. I do not see any way to just do that without having to either be registered, or register. Obviously I am registered already but can't seem to get the info I need.

Thanks for any tips,

Don B

Are you sure you don't have any email-filter junk it for you?

Perhaps you can add a email whitelisting for *.eagle.ru?

Hmm, well I don't know, I use Thunderbird for emails and I do not see a junk email folder in it. I have not had any problems getting emails from other sites when I have had to do like password resets from them... Maybe I should dig a little deeper in Thunderbird...

Thanks,

Don B

If you are using the same e-mail on the site as you use on your forum account, the fact that the e-mail did not arrive is probably caused by that. Unfortunately there are constantly reoccuring issues where Comcast does not allow emal from Eagle through to it's customers.

The login issue is a case of corrupt cookies. Clearing cookies or using a different browser (since the other browser is not likely to have the same corrupted cookie) usually solves this.

Well I tried clearing the cookies, no go.

I don't really want to install a new browser just for this - I am using IE9.

I also checked my emails with Windows Live Mail, which does have a junk filter and folder the junk mail goes into, it is not there either.

Thanks,

Don B

Cookie-clearing is unfortunately fairly jumpy on most browsers, the old cookie may still be there. This is the specific utiltity of trying a separate browser.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I would suggest that as the fix. You obviously don't have to start using that browser nor uninstall your existing browser. (Personally I have three browsers installed, mainly from when my internet banking site decided they wouldn't support more than IE9 and FF, and broke it for Chrome.)

I will try deleting all that stuff with CCleaner and see if that does anything, if not I have another email addy I may just try registering using it... if all fails, I will consider downloading a new browser.

Thanks,

Don B

Yeah, I have a vague memory of seeing hotmail crop up in e-mail proglems previously, but couldn't find it now so don't take my word for it. I don't know if it was just a singular fluke that could be disregarded.

CCleaner should hopefully do a better job, yeah, I've used that program myself to pretty good effect.

Well before trying CCleaner, I just went ahead and registered again using my other email addy, which is a hotmail address. Registration worked, I purchased BS2 and am downloading it now - and the confirmation of my purchase came through my hotmail address fine.

Whew!

Thanks for the help,

Don B
