s3141529 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I have installed BS for DCS World but I have upgrade key, when I start a mission in A-10 in DCS World it always try to activate BS. How to overcome this?
159th_Viper Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Good question. You can try and delete the Ka-50 folder from the DCS World install. Navigate to DCS World/Mods/aircrafts folder and remove the Ka-50 folder in it's entirety and see if that helps. I'll see if I can find out any further info for you - I might have missed an uninstall option for specific modules. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Boberro Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Do as Viper says - it will help - I had to clean it up too. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
LZ_Xray Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I did the same thing. I am so used to doing a clean re-install each time a patch was released for A-10 and BS, rather than applying the patches, that I forgot I had the upgrade version of BS2. I wasn't too far into experimenting with DCS World so I just uninstalled it and then did a clean re-install of it and the A-10/P-51 beta modules. VAOZoky Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I had to remove it from registy too Intel Core i5 2500k @ 4.2Ghz, 8GB Kingston HyperX @1.6GHz, Ati Radeon HD7870 2GB GDDR5, 19' 1440x900 screen
Madmatt_BFC Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Yup, I was facing the same issue myself. I cleared it up by just deleting the "Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\bin" folder (which holds the exe and dll that allows the activation/deactivation of the module). That did the trick for me. I had no need to edit the registry but your mileage may vary. Interceptor Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Or try: Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50 entry.lua installed = false, -- if false that will be place holder , or advertising that works for me! (after deleting the key in registry)
