cagrimes Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I can't call ATC before engine start because the throttles are covering the location on the VHF AM radio were you enter the first two digit's of the ATC frequency. I haven't found a way to move the throttles unless I start the engines. Can someone tell me if the throttles can be moved without the engines running ???????????? Thanks cagrimes
TomDK Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 yes, you can first move the throttle, adjust the frequencies and move back the throttles. Than start with procedure. Best is TrackIR5 ..... or HELIOS :) My old, sold, pit: http://bilder.einzelart.de/thumbnails.php?album=74&page=3
cagrimes Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 Hello TomDK I don't have a TrackIR5 or HELIOS and my Controller is a T16000M. I'm running A-10c on my Asus Laptop and the tip that HayesJ23 posted didn't work. I tried the default Keyboard "snap View 0 thru 9 keys " but they don't have any function assigned. There must be a way to move the Throttles out of detent -to-Idle before the engines are started, can anyone that's found the answer to this problem please "HELP"?????????????????????????????????? Thanks cagrmes
Blah Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Hold down right shift and right control, and use the keypad / to move your head backwards. If you don't have a keypad, that won't work, but you'll have a lot of other problems too... Or you could probably move the throttle forward before starting the APU, set the radio, then move it back.
FreeFall Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 If you don't have a keypad I was going to ask if Gagrimes Asus has a numpad or not. Default keyboard mapping should give you the radio panel if you press [Numpad Zero] + [Numpad 1].
cagrimes Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 Hello Freefall "FINALLY" your tip "NumPad Zero + NumPad 1" works as Advertised :-)))))). Thank You cagrimes
FreeFall Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) You're welcome! :) EDIT: If you wanna toggle, first press [RCtrl] + [Numpad Zero]. Then [Numpad 1]. If you wanna go back to the original view, press [Zero] again. EDIT2: And actually forum member hayesj23 originally gave the answer in his message :megalol: Edited May 23, 2012 by FreeFall more info added
rud Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 mouselook works fine too. With mouselook on hold down the middle mouse button and scroll the mouse wheel to move your head forward and backward.
