chief Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 OK I originally bought BS then upgraded to BS2. I have the A10 and P51 too. I installed World but whenever I run it it gives me the Activation screen for BS2. I try and activate it but doesn't allow saying Activation Denied by Server. It wont let me generate a new hardware code either saying it doesn't recognize the hardware code to deactivate it. Weird because the A10 works fine in World. Any ideas? Thanks!
159th_Viper Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 As per the official announcement, the BS2 upgrade is currently not supported: Please note that the open beta of Black Shark 2 module is only for the standalone version. Serial numbers of the upgrade version will not work. The module of Black Shark 2 upgrade version will be released later after release of the final versions of the modules. That probably explains the issues you are experiencing. To remove the BS2 module from your DCS World install, just delete the BS2 folder from your DCS World/Mods/aircraft folder. Try that and see if that helps. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! bigian Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 " A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable has been detected on the machine" Anyone help me here, trying to install DCS world for my standalone a10 so I can benefit from next patch release - when installing DCS world I'm getting this message which I thought unusual as usually DCS installs are bang up to date - any advice please? Cheers
ALDEGA Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 During DCS World installation, deselect "Install Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package".
