xxJohnxx Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Hi, Thinking about the mission I am working at, I came to the idea, that it would be nice if we could have a "Wind" display when using the F11 view. I know, we can set certain wind speeds for certain altitudes, but with dynamic weather this doesn't work. So I tought, it would be nice to have a indication about the wind at the current position and altitude when using the F11 airport view (and also if its possition is moved). At least this would be usefull when trying to creat a weatherreport, or when a "custom" (F10 radio) JTAC gives you a target, which you want to attack with dumb bombs (LASTE). But it should only be a small sugestion with 0 priority. But it would be nice to have such a feature one day. Thanks! effte Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Or a wind sock in F1 view? ----- Introduction to UTM/MGRS - Trying to get your head around what trim is, how it works and how to use it? - DCS helos vs the real world.
TurboHog Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Yes that would be great for dropping dumb bombs with the help of the LASTE wind settings. Sometimes the JTAC gives me wind information. But most of the time that valuable piece of information is not given in the 9-line. What triggers it btw, wind info in the 9-line? Only when he request bombs or something? 'Frett'
