Cowboy10uk Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone knows how I can get access to a cnc machine over in the UK. I've downloaded Jedis plans for his fantastic setup, and need to get the pieces cut out somehow. Sadly unless you are in business I can't seem to find anywhere who will do this for the general public. Any help would be great fully received. Cowboy10uk Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) Maybe this one ... http://www.bookertimber.co.uk/ Just looked at that, wow, think this is the one, only 1 hr from me. How on earth did you find it, I googled cnc machine hire and just got a load of job offers and engineering companies for business use only. Fingers crossed they are not stupidly expensive. Got £500 for the materials and cutting. Then I guess I better start learning electronics for building the panels :) Also thanks to Viper for your help and time. It's appreciated. mladen Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I just Googled "milling mdf uk" and there it is :music_whistling: I would advice you to use MDF instead of plywood. Also please note that the inside edges are a rounded (diameter of the milling cutter) and you will have to use a file to make edges square. I believe that € 300.- is the reasonable price for this kind of work, including material.
