Without further information, I would advise a 2GB card over a !GB. But it really depends on what kind of (resolution/quantity) displays you are going to be using. I would steer clear of the 6950, its known to be affected by the flashing white box bug when HDR is turned on. If you plan on a radeon, go for a 7850 2gb.
cichlidfan Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 I should have added that I don't know ATI products anymore, been using Nvidia for too long.;) ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! cichlidfan Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Sorry, i forgot. a resolution of 1920x1080. 2GB of VRAM with that resolution will give you plenty of headroom. I have 3GB but way more pixels to deal with.
