Other WWII aircraft / ground units

Are there any other WWII aircraft in the sim (eg some German / Russian plains so a true dog fight can be had)

 

Or are we limited to filling the sky's with P51D's US vs German??

 

 

This includes fighters and bombers

 

 

 

If not what objects would best simulate this environment for a mission (Both air and Ground units)

Just to let you know, this question HAS been answered on numerous occasions, even by Wags himself. I'm writing this on my phone, so I can't quote some of the answers.

 

Anyway, we don't have WWII stuff in the Beta, but I suspect something of the sort (109s 190s, etc) for the AI will be included in the full version when it is released. I hope so anyway! EDIT: I just remembered, I actually saw a video that had 109s parked on the ramp as the dude taxiied past. I can't remember who this was, but he was a high level, respected member of the forums.

Maybe this was a slip and not meant to be shown yet? Hopefully:P

 

As for tanks/ground vehicles/objects/ships I really don't think ED are making any. This hole I am sure will be filled by modders.

I will be stuck with IL-2 1946 as a WW2 'era' simulator until something of the sort happens with DCS. But with plenty of mods, IL-2 can be amazing. There's even a flyable F-4E Phantom!!!

Agreed, it's difficult to find stuff on these forums:P
