Mt5_Roie Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I want to add some SA-11 to a mission. But I wanted to know how close I need to put the actual missiles to the radar that is controlling them. Is there a length limit I need to stay within? Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
Erforce Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 i've done that with SA-10 and as long as the tracking radar can track, Launcher will launch if it's in range. BUT ! it was with BS1/BS2 first patchs mission editor. maybe they changed that. Evil.Bonsai Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I've done this previously. Placed a track radar in a central location, and two launchers (in the same group) near the outer range of the radar (20-30 miles, maybe? I forget). So long as the radar could track my plane AND I was in range of a launcher, it launched. Also need to make sure that launcher and radar are part of the same group. A sneaky trick to do this in a public mission. Some poor pilot will see the track radar, think "let me fly over here, away from that" then fly right into a launcher that is part of that group.
