mr_mojo97 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Why won't my EAC light extinguish when I flick the switch? When I go into IFFCC it seems to depend what order I do SAS, T/O trim and EAC. But when I do it this way I get a master alarm and then the EAC light comes back on MSI M5 z270 | Intel i5 7600k (OC) 4.8GHz | MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X 11Gb | 500gb Samsung 970 Evo NVME M.2 (DCS World) | 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD (OS and Apps) | 32Gb 2400MHz DDR4 - Crucial Ballistix | Be Quiet Silent Loop 240mm | NZXT H440 case | Thrustmaster Warthog - 47608 with Virpil Mongoose joystick base | MFG Crosswinds - 1241 | Westland Lynx collective with Bodnar X board | Pilot's seat from ZH832 Merlin | JetSeat | Oculus Rift S | Windows 10 | VA |
Jona33 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Make sure SAS switches, alignment is complete and EGI is selected on the NMSP. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Dejjvid Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 And don't forget to press "Nav" on the MFCD/CDU when INS NAV READY is flashing. Then you can select EGI on the NMSP, and arm EAC. I enable SAS as soon as I have ground power or APU generator online. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
mr_mojo97 Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 As soon as I enable IFFCC I select SAS (Dejjvid, doing this before I flick the switch will not allow the 2 left SAS switches to work) then I select EAC, which knocks the lights off for a few seconds then comes back on. Nav is pressed when required then EGI pressed, but still the EAC light stays on. I have noticed on some occassions that even when I flick the switch on the warthog the switch in the cockpit is off! Until I flick it back off then on (but again the light on the display is on MSI M5 z270 | Intel i5 7600k (OC) 4.8GHz | MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X 11Gb | 500gb Samsung 970 Evo NVME M.2 (DCS World) | 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD (OS and Apps) | 32Gb 2400MHz DDR4 - Crucial Ballistix | Be Quiet Silent Loop 240mm | NZXT H440 case | Thrustmaster Warthog - 47608 with Virpil Mongoose joystick base | MFG Crosswinds - 1241 | Westland Lynx collective with Bodnar X board | Pilot's seat from ZH832 Merlin | JetSeat | Oculus Rift S | Windows 10 | VA |
BigfootMSR Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Correct me if i am wrong, but I have heard that switch is a solenoid switch and takes some time for it to arm. The TM Warthog switch is not a solenoid switch which is why when the system is not armed yet, it wont toggle in the sim. Same thing happens when you click on it with the mouse. It will always go back to the off position unless it has armed/timed out. Tailgate Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Alignment must be completed for EAC to arm. 4.0.0.8 status and flashing INS NAV RDY in CDU.
Abbath Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 activate the EGI mode on the lower frontpanel, then activate EAC. You are welcome to my DCS A-10 server "Ugly Bastards".
