PeterP Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 (edited) What kind of aircraft? and for which version? Please have a look here how to post a mission: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1480621&postcount=2 :) this would help others immense to decide to download it or not. Ripcord Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 No such country as CIS. Ukraine and Russia still squabble over everything imaginable, including the Black Sea fleet assets. And this is exactly why there will never be a US Navy aircraft carrier in the Black Sea. Just too small and too close to them other guys with the big sticks. But I understand this is a test mission to check out effectiveness of weapons systems on both sides. That is cool, I like to do that a lot myself. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Interestingly, if I replay the same mission file, I get a different result each time. I did it mainly for my curiosity about the AI and the cinematic nature of it. Cool. I like to do this a lot myself -- probably why I never seem to get any missions built. Spending my time testing things like this out. Keep posting. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Yeah, sometimes the air defences will take out all the missiles, sometimes with just RIM-7 and RIM-66 and sometimes with a combination of those and CIWS in the form of M61 and Mk38 M242. The very latest weapons are absent from both sides, e.g. no RIM-161 (SM-3) and no RIM-162 (ESSM) on naval vessels, no PAC-3 Patriot, no S-400, no THAAD, no F-22, no Kh-90, no Kh-32, no R-37, no KS-172. It's very much llimited to sort of early-90s stuff, except for the things like JDAMs, JASSMs and JSOWs and the A-10C itself. Much of the stats in the Encyclopedia are just plain wrong also, e.g. the G-limit for the F-16 and F-18 is listed at 8 and 7. Some of the Encylclopedia stats also contradict the manual. Still a fantastic simulator though. Edited July 8, 2012 by JCamel If the telegraph pole takes off after you, it is not a telegraph pole.
