Hi guys,

 

I need help with CA.

 

In this mission there are two vehicle groups. One ABRAMS and one M818 Truck.

I want that the CA-Client can NOT control the M818. He only have to control the ABRAMS.

 

How to do that? :helpsmilie:

Well, then I can not add a CA client to all of my missions. :(

This feature is VERY important. I hope ED knows that and will add it as fast as possible.

Looks like combined arms is aimed for combat vehicles only.

You could maybe use a Humvee / Armed instead?

Hi Panzer,

 

my problem is for example "Gudauta Rush". In Gudauta Rush a friendly convoy of Stryker vehicles is driving from the FARP to Gudauta Airport.

The convoy is used as JTAC for the A-10 clients.

The whole mission is about this convoy.

I spend a lot of time to add a trigger system to the convoy that it will stop moving before it get and attacked by an enemy and requests a airstrike (JTAC).

 

-> I don't want that a CA client can control this group. If the convoy get destroyed the mission is failed. If the convoy is leaving the route no triggers get activated anymore.

 

I want to add a second vehicle group of 2-3 ABRAMS controlled by a CA client to securing the convoy. But this is not possible now.

I think there are a whole bunch of existing missions that will not lend themselves well to converting to CA. Especially if as in your case the trigger logic is built on units doing as they are told. The alternative of course is to increase the miz brief to include critical ground units (e.g. For convoy A if you are attacked, find cover and call in air support. Etc).

 

Time to think up whole new and interesting scenarios for CA missions and get building from scratch methinks.

This will be necessary too but will make mission building much more difficult than it was before.

I can't say 'yes, of course' can I? ;)

So I have to reply 'perhaps' - just as Groove stated, it's been suggested. We all think it's an important feature.

I have noticed when converting a mission. If I place a group as hidden on map. I Cant Control it. It wont show up when in range of enemy units on there map either. Thought it would be some use.

 

If anyone can join my teamspeak, I would be grateful. Doing a lot of trouble shooting in mission building in CA.
