Was flying some sunset mission, with JTAC giving me targets. The problem was after WP was fired I had major trouble locating it with poor lighting.

 

Had to Alt+F1 and zoom all the way in to even see it. I was orbiting at 20000ft though, is that too high for spotting visually?

That is high to tally smoke.

 

Flying that high is totally normal otherwise though.

(in orbit) < you weren't lying....Astronaut training?! The Hawg should NEVER be that high.

 

But, you should be able to see it ok with TGP in w/h or b/h modes.

Can't quite get Civil simming out of my head :(

I usually fly 10-15K feet for orbiting, just out of reach of the most common nasties.
