RichardG Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I'm using trackir, but I cant zoom the in cockpit view with numpad "*" and "/" like I can in the A-10. The controls are mapped the same in the SU-25T. Thus, my view is smashed up into the HUD so close i cant operate the plane. Is this a known issue?
lubey Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Is your trackIR "z" axis (forward and back translation) assigned to zoom? That could override the keyboard controls perhaps. If you get the 6dof cockpit mod, you can then assign the z axis to move the in game view forward and backward as normal. SPECS: Intel Core i5 760 @ 3.2 Ghz +turboboost enabled, 12 GB DDR3 1600 @ 1500 Mhz, ATI Radeon 5850, TrackIR 5, X52 Pro and Saitek pedals
Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I have the exact same problem with / * zoom in slow and zoom out slow commands with su-25t. I reported it to ED.
TankerWade Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Can somone comment on this issue or help? I too have this problem - Installed DCS World 1.2 and DCS A10 1.2 I have Track IR 5 The keyboard commands to change the view in the Su25T cockpit do not work. I cannot zoom in or out using Num/ or Num* nor do any of the view commands (Num8,Num2) work inside the cockpit. They do work as expected in external views (F2). They do work correctly in A10 however. I have tried deleting my save games folder but no luck. I was really starting to get the hang of the Toad in 1.1 and was enjoying it, but now I too am mashed up against the cockpit like the seat is pushed too far forward in car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Pretty sure it's a bug. Can you guys also open a ticket with ED? I did to try to get their attention.....
RichardG Posted July 18, 2012 Author Posted July 18, 2012 I fixed mine...conflicting control assignments. Trackir Z axis defaults to the zoom in and out. I wanted to use the key controls instead. I did not have my trackir software running when I started the sim to setup controls, so when I checked for conflicts I didn't see any, because trackir controls don't show up in the controls list if it isnt running when you start the sim. I deleted the trakir z axis in the zoom controls. 1
Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 RichardG, Thanks for fixing this! I checked trackir section and indeed my z axis was mapped to zoom. I simply deleted that and all is good. Now I have to go close the ticket I opened. Cheers Mate!
