So I just dropped a new CPU and SSD into my gaming box and took the opportunity to purchase DCS:CA and upgrade to 1.2. I think I may have loused something up, however, as I am getting an error message when loading a mission that my Warthog key is now invalid due to "significant hardware changes". I mailed the error report to support, but I am wondering if there is anything I can do in the meantime, while I wait for a response.

If you can include your support ticket number, that might help - I can check it.

 

However, CPU change will cause a new activation to be required. Thus, you should activate again (see quickstart document for activation instructions). Generally, I'd expect you could run protect.exe for the relevant module and remove the activation - I'm looking into this.

Yeah-deactivate and then activate. Alternatively clear your registry and activate: Same difference.

I get essentially the same error when trying to deactivate - it won't allow it because the key is invalid.

 

No ticket, as I just sent the report to support@eagle dot ru as per the instructions in the error message. Should I submit a formal ticket as well? Don't want to cross any more wires.

Formal tickets are always better than e-mail, since e-mails are harder to track.

Clear your registry, ie delete the relevant Eagle Dynamics entry containing your Warthog serial.
