I seem to be getting some conflicting advice. Please clarify.

I already have DCS A10 and BS1 patched to their highest versions.

I downloaded DCS WOrld along with the A10, BS2 Upgrade, and P51 Modules last night.

In the notes it says to uninstall previous DCS version san delete the Saved games user files.

Quesitons:

  1. Do I uninstall (but not deactivate) my current A10 prior to installing the DCS World/A10 Module?
  2. Do I delete my Users//Saved Games/DCS A10C folder? I dont wan to lose the mission si created or were working on.
  3. BS1 has no folder in User//Saved games. I also never upgraded to BS2 yet so I am unsure if i shoudl uninstall the DCS shark prior to the DCS worl module installation...

Thanks for the direction... I hope i am the only one whom is finding this install ad merging process as confusing as this.

Cheers everyone.

You should delete any previous version of DCS World and this will automatically delete any previous modules you had installed. You do not need to delete the standalone versions of A-10C or BS1/2 unless you are not intending to use them again. Remember that you need the BS1 install if you are using the BS2 upgrade so don't uninstall that.

  2. Do I delete my Users//Saved Games/DCS A10C folder? I dont wan to lose the mission si created or were working on. You should back up the missions you want to save and then delete the Saved Games DCS folder. It's recommended that you not try to save your controller files but rather configure new ones since the keystroke assignments may have changed.
  3. BS1 has no folder in User//Saved games. I also never upgraded to BS2 yet so I am unsure if i shoudl uninstall the DCS shark prior to the DCS worl module installation... Don't uninstall the BS1 folders. You need them for the upgrade. The install order is first to install DCS: World then to install any modules you purchased (CA, BS, P51). I believe you don't have to deactivate previous installs.

Thanks for the direction... I hope i am the only one whom is finding this install ad merging process as confusing as this.

... does that mean if I uninstall, I can simply enter my A10C serial key into the world module to activate?

How does the activation of the World modules work if I have standalone versions.?

I'd like to uninstall the standalones if possible - perhaps I should just uninstall BS1 and purchase the full BS2 game for world instead?

Activation is already attended to, ie it simply checks the key already in the registry - Will not use an extra activation either. You would probably have to do nothing at all - it will simply be akin to a normal uninstall/reinstall. If it does ask for an activation, enter the A10 key and you'll get a message 'already activated' IIRC and you'll be good to go.

Standalone versions are for all purposes now not needed and no longer supported so patch/fixes to the modules will not be given to the standalones, so you can uninstall - not needed at all, except in the case of BS2 upgrade where you will, as before, need the BS1 install to verify prior to installing the 1.2.0.Kamov upgrade module.

If you wish to forego that restriction then you'll need to purchase a BS2 full version 1.2.0.module key.

Did you download and install the P51 module? It is bundled within the DCS World files.
