lokitexas Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Hello, I new to the DCS series, and trying to wrap my head around it. I have purchased BS1 some time back from steam, and recently bought the BS2 upgrade. I have it installed now using the DCS World. Anyway, I saw steam has A10 on sale for $16, and was wondering if I buy it from steam, how do I "plug it in" to DCS world? Possible? i5 3570k @ 4.3 560ti GTX 2gig 8gig RAM Intel SSD Win7 64bit
BigfootMSR Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 you just download the a-10 module like you did with BS2. When prompted for your key, just copy in the key you get from steam. Also, if your new to the shark, see my signature below for a list of in cockpit interactive training missions. BigfootMSR Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm currently testing them to ensure that they are. So far, I have not found any issues other than world not playing sounds correctly. You can still read the subtitles in the missions though. I saw them and saw it was for BS2 only. I gave up on BS1 due to lack of the training missions. And yes, other than the sounds (which took me a long time to figure out why I couldnt hear) they work great. i5 3570k @ 4.3 560ti GTX 2gig 8gig RAM Intel SSD Win7 64bit

BS1 does not support the trigger system needed to make the interactive training missions. :/ oh wells. It is still worth the upgrade in my opinion with all of the other improvements. Now, I need to decide if I should get my head around the BS or take on more with A10 lol. I mean...I still have not been off the ground yet :joystick:. Although I do play more fixed wing sims...maybe A10 will be easier. i5 3570k @ 4.3 560ti GTX 2gig 8gig RAM Intel SSD Win7 64bit

In general, the A-10 is easier to fly but more complex to fight where the Kamov is harder to fly but less complicated in the avionics department.
