Hi.

I did notice something in Lock On and I would like somebody to thry to explane to me why that is happening.

 

I create mission in mission editor,set 3 kind of SAM sites,Kub,Buk and Hawk.SAM site consisted of 4 lonuchers and two radars.

 

I attack Kub,chelange him to fire at me.Every time Kub fire,he fire 2 missiles.So 4 lounchers with 3 missiles,thats 12 missiles.It means 6 shoots.Atfter that I fly straith to Kub site and kill him by canon.He cant defend becouse no more missiles.Need some time to rearm.

Same with Buk.

But not with Hawk.I put 4 louncers,he had 10 shoots,but still fully loaded.Why is that so?

probably you've placed the hawk next to supply trucks or very close to an airbase, and the others isolated without HEMTT ammo trucks/ammo dumps. I'm not sure if that is the case, but ammo is expendable unless having logistics nearby.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Every HAWK launcher carries 3 missiles. With 4 launchers, that gives you 12 missiles, not 10.

The site will engage even after 10 missiles were launched.

 

Thats true.But when Hawk fire,he fire 2 missiles every time.It means he can fire 6 times by two missiles.That was the case,I have seen it at external view.

 

Problem is when hawk fire,on that louncher there is no empty space.Right after firing,new missile take the palce the previous one.Even if is at the airport,lonchers cant be rearmed so fast.They still need few minutes,or it shod be that way.

I put the Buk and Kub at airport,and thay need few minutes to reload.When thay fire,you can see empty space at louncher,than afther few minutes it is reloaded.

I also have a question, it's not related to a bug now..., i'd only like to ask...: How the **** can you make patriot, hawk or S-300 Sam sites fire a missile at you? Now what a hell? In FC1 you simply put the sam in place, and it knows where to fire and at who..., but now in FC2 you do all the rest and it simply stays like prick and won't fire at all! I've read somewhere that they don't act like mobile sams, and they need some configuration at the targeting section from the sam unit! I don't know if that configuration needs to be done to both launchers and radar units, but it seems that it doesn't do anything anyway to make it launch a damn missile!

 

Sorry that i got angry, but the mother****ing SAM won't fire at anyone! I go up I go down, left and right, and I can't make it fire! It only eats gas and money, it won't fire! The only mother****ing SAM that works is the SA-11 Buk!

 

If is there a list of steps to be done for making those 3 stupid sams shoot, please let it known, cause many of us can't have the joy without those 3!

 

I'm waiting to know what needs to be done!

Just a guess here, but are you sure that all units that need to be in the SAM-group is present? IIRC the SA-10 for example needs three different radar vehicles + the launchers. Im not sure but I think the SA-11 only needs the search radar and a launcher to get into action. Also the big stationary ones have long warm-up times (I think the Patriot needs 5 minutes or something). Try putting the group into Red alarm-state in the Advanced Waypoint Action-menu on the init-waypoint or let it target you for five minutes.
