Algerad3, great news!!!

BTW, did you try to look into the FIPs themselves? Is there a way to use them in DCS titles? I just thought if they use the same DLL as X52 MFD... ?

They use the same dll, I tried to use them with the export "mfd" etc . I still need to get up to speed on how to get the graphics together. Once I get Strings out to the x52pro using the new dcs modules, I will get on the fips. I think I am going to have to learn how to make my own gauges for these. I have 4 of them so I will get to them. Just a matter of getting "focus" time on this project.

This is awesome! :-) Looking very much forward to your progress on these! If would be a true re-birth for Saitek FIPs if you manage to find a way to use them in DCS!!! I am sure you will have a lot of gratefull FIP owners around here! :-)

O.k had a quick go with the new dll. Bad news guys, still getting the "not valid win32 program" error.

Chrilith, I think I need help or we Need an update.

Here is what I did For Black shark one ( I am sure it is obvious in the provided script).

1) Inserted the saitek dll into the bin folder. ( I was also able to use the dll when I inserted the dll into the lua clibs folder and not in the dcs bin file.)

2) Went to the export file and added require ("saitek"). (did not matter if it was in c:Lua clibs or in Dcs/bin. The dll was loaded.

3) Called the functions in export after frame i.e. saitek.AddPage...etc.

simple as that basically, everything works.

Now when I do the same for Blackshark 2 I get the not a valid win 32 program error. Not sure if that is enough for debugging.

Same thing in Dcs world and A-10.

For the most part , it seems the newer version do not look past what ever drive the sim is installed on unless specifically directed and if directed else where it wont find the specified file.

If I was not already bald , I would be pulling my hair out ....( no, those hairs are not an option.)

Hi algerad3,

Just tested the 64-bit version of the DLL with the LUA 64-bit version and I was able to display an image on it without problem.

THis error usually means (when the DLL is know to work:)) that you are trying to use a 64-bit version in a 32-bit instance.

Perhaps there is a conflict between your LUA installs and when executed in BS2 it takes the 32-bit LUA DLL?

Did you try to remove all the LUA instances and execute again? then add the 64-bit only?

What version of LUA are you using?

What version of LUA is used with BS1, BS2 and A10?

I only how BS1 so I currently cannot test further.

So, If you had BS 2 you could assist in further investigating?

It's a yes or no question... lol :noexpression:

Chilrith,

Not sure if the pm's are going through, Please let me know if you receive them.

Some of the math is wrong for the mfd , so I will need to clean up and recalibrate, but first I want to get A-10 and p-51 online.

Just a little more patience....

Tutorial for using Saitek x52pro in DCs products

Hey,

I think it is understandable at the basic level so I will share.

I created a small semi step by step tut for using the saitek lua dll.

I hope it is o.k to share the new 64 bit dll which is required. I asked the author if he had a problem with me doing so , he has not gotten back to me yet. ( I think he may be on the runway in Batumi....LOL )

Anyhow it should be straight forward with examples.

I will put out lesson two shortly as there are many things I am still learning .

If anyone has ideas or knowledge please share.

so with out further rambling........enjoy :joystick:

Sorry, I was not clear with my question ( I re-read it).

I meant the images (the .png files in the examples folder).

Did you create those images?

If so ,what program did you use to create the png gauges.

I hope that makes sense... It's still early for me.

I was able to install both BS2 upgrade and A10 but I have no sound and the mouse click really doesn't work very well. Anyway I rhink I'll try soon to make a real gauge for FIP.

Wow. That great news. What about DCS World. Maybe is easyly learn the functionality with DCS world, could be standardized for all aircraft. BS1 is getting old.

Any way it is a wonderful news, somebody care about us, because if we wait for the reaction of Saitek. Honestly I would like know how many hours need a Saitek programmer to make such work.

Thank a lot

Pepin, it is now working in all Dcs products . Take a gander at post # 38 and #39. Their is also a little tutorial how to get things displayed in the attachment. BS1, BS2, A-10, and world.

I am trying to find a "connection" point for World that will point to a particular script for a particular aircraft.

Also , got output from landing gears to change lights on the joystick. Soon I will explain how to make lights work. :book:
