Disablez Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 In the intercom panel, one can easily turn off the annoying AIM-9 tone, but supposedly the knob can be turned to adjust the volume; this doesn't work for us in DCS:W though, it remains at same volume. Reportedly this used to work, so... is this a known bug?
nomdeplume Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I haven't tried it in DCS World, but just to confirm: how are you changing the volume? It used to turnable by using the mouse scroll wheel while the cursor is over the knob. On a related note... are the tooltips/panel labels for the UHF and VHF radios correct yet? :)
Evil.Bonsai Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 The volume does work, but it's more or less on/off. Might make a difference if there is a locked tone, but the less invasive 'searching' tone doesn't seem to change much until the volume is all the way down.
MTFDarkEagle Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Not sure on this, but why on earth would you want to turn it off?? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Pyroflash Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 It works, though even though you COULD turn it down, why would you want to? It provides valuable audible cuing information that you cannot get otherwise. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
Disablez Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 Well, for the same reason the A-10 has a knob for that, in the first place ;). Will try again.
Echo38 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I just tested it in World version 1.2.0; it works as Nomdeplume described.
