Rodney Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I'm looking to get back into PC gaming. I have DCS BS and BS2 Upgrade and Full Version, Lock On Flaming Cliff 2, and DCS A-10C. Is there a particular order this all needs to be installed so it all works correctly? :)

Rodney Posted August 18, 2012 Author Posted August 18, 2012 Thanks for the links Peter  One last question, I don't play online so is DCS World necessary? Can I install those sims I mentioned without DCS World?
PeterP Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) .... :smilewink::music_whistling: ... well - no one really uses DCS 1.2.0 seriously for on-line use ATM... ... So you are good to go with 1.2.0 = about 7 Gigs Installing the modules separate will need about 6 each. and you will anyway need a LockOn 2 install - as lockon3 isn't released up to now. Choose yourself. Edited August 18, 2012 by PeterP
AceKng1 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 One last question, I don't play online so is DCS World necessary? Can I install those sims I mentioned without DCS World? One thing to consider is that the standalone versions are no longer being updated so all new content/bugfixes will only be added to World. Another advantage of World is that it takes a lot less disk space than having all separate modules installed. Finally, it is pretty nice in World having all your aircraft in the same place and not having to switch sims to switch craft.
Rodney Posted August 18, 2012 Author Posted August 18, 2012 Thank you all for the explanations. This reminds me of how Company of Heroes was setup on my computer. :)
